BAMBI’S

Lovingly referred to as “The Grotto”, Bambi’s is a beloved basement jam space. It’s not your conventional glitzy club, but rather an intimate, authentic haven for music aficionados. Tucked in the corner of Dundas and Dovercourt across the street from the infamous 7-11, the de facto afters, its discreet entrance is a nod to its underground vibe, providing an element of mystery. Once inside, the  hyper-modern design is arranged with an almost geometric gusto. Exposed stone walls and pipes give it an industrial quality and the the sound system, though not overwhelmingly loud, is impeccably crisp, ensuring that every beat resonates. 

Most nights started right away as the doors open at at 10PM, a slow trickle by 11 and then a full-on downpour of patrons by midnight when it hits capacity and you simply cannot get in. The crowd is diverse and like the bar, stylish and unpretentious. With its low ceilings and intimate dance floor, the layout not only encourages close interactions with fellow clubbers but also with local and international talent who’s focus remains squarely on the music.
